At Impact Hockey we are dedicated to empowering athletes of all ages and skill levels to develop their field hockey skills, experience the joy of competition and reach their potential.
Our coaching team have over 25 years experience on and off the field including at national and Australian level.
Our programs have been developed to align with the Hockey NSW coaching principles and selection criteria.
We are passionate about participation and excellence in field hockey and have offerings to suit all skill levels.
Alan Charlton
(Head Coach)
Alan has over 25 years experience on and off the field.
He has represented NSW in Indoor and Outdoor formats, played professionally in England and represented Australia in Junior, Open and Masters (winning Silver at the Masters World Cup in Nottingham and Gold in Cape Town).
Alan is Head Coach of the Western Sydney Academy of Sport and has coached at school, club, association and state levels.
Alan holds a FIH Level 2 coaching accreditation and is well-versed in developing successful one on one, small group and tournament plans aligned to Hockey Australia and
Hockey NSW coaching frameworks.

Small Group Coaching
Our small group coaching sessions (up to 8 athletes) are designed to improve core technical skills and game play in a safe and supportive small group environment.

Stop Everything. Own Your Circle.Master 1 v 1 jockeying, tackling timing and defensive shape so attackers run into brick walls not open space. High-intensity, game-realistic drills and scenarios that turn defenders into the players opponents fear.

goal keeping MASTERCLASS
Goal keepers don't get built by accident. It takes work, one save at a time.
Join our GK session dedicated to improving core skills with a focus on technique, positioning and making those game winning clearing saves. Running in conjunction with our goal scoring clinic you'll be working on things with a coach, ball machine then putting them into practice vs players.

🏒 Maintain the love of the game🏒
For Under 8s Hockey should feel like play, not practice.
Through games, laughter and lots of ball time, your child will fine tune their dribbling, passing and hitting skills without even realising they're learning
Dates: Thursdays 22 October - 3 December
Time: 5:00 - 5:45pm (45 mins)
Location: Cintra, Gipps Street, Concord
Price: $70 for the full 7-week series
ages 10-12
🏒 Keep the momentum going and ready up for 2027 🏒
This age group is where the game really starts to click. Sessions will blend skill refinement with small-sided games, so players sharpen their stick skills while learning to read the play around them.
Sessions will be fun, fast and exactly the step-up young players need as their game grows.
Dates: Thursdays 22 October - 3 December
Time: 6:00-7:00pm (60 mins)
Location: Cintra, Gipps Street, Concord
Price: $90 for the 7-week series
AGES 14-16
🏒 Serious about Hockey this is where it gets real 🏒
With game-realistic drills and a focus on fine-tuning technique, players will train the way they compete - under pressure, at pace and with purpose.
In this age group it's the polish and performance under pressure that turns solid players into standout players.
