ABOUT Impact Hockey
At Impact Hockey we are dedicated to empowering athletes of all ages and skill levels to develop their field hockey skills, experience the joy of competition and reach their potential.
Our coaching team have over 25 years experience on and off the field including at national and Australian level.
Our programs have been developed to align with the Hockey NSW coaching principles and selection criteria.
We are passionate about participation and excellence in field hockey and have offerings to suit all skill levels.
Alan Charlton
(Head Coach)
Alan has over 25 years experience on and off the field.
He has represented NSW in Indoor and Outdoor formats, played professionally in England and represented Australia in Junior, Open and Masters (winning Silver at the Masters World Cup in Nottingham and Gold in Cape Town).
Alan is Head Coach of the Western Sydney Academy of Sport and has coached at school, club, association and state levels.
Alan holds a FIH Level 2 coaching accreditation and is well-versed in developing successful one on one, small group and tournament plans aligned to Hockey Australia and
Hockey NSW coaching frameworks.

One on One Coaching
One on One coaching designed around athlete skill level and goals
Includes player profile, skills assessment and coaching logs.
Strength and conditioning program, video analysis and online skills tracking available on request
Small Group Coaching
Our small group coaching sessions (up to 8 athletes) are designed to improve core technical skills and game play in a safe and supportive small group environment.
